The Beavercreek Beavers renewed their Nationwide Arena rivalry with the Gahanna Lincoln Lions on Thursday, February 4, 2010. The Lions came into the game as winners of 8 out of their last nine. Plus, they were looking to avenge a string of losses to Creek dating back to last years double overtime defeat in the Ehrnfelt Championship game and a defeat at Nationwide the following week. Still, the Lions had brought a roster full of players to afford them the opportunity to play on the "big ice" at Nationwide. Creek was ready to do the same to give all of the players the chance to play where the Blue Jackets skate.
