The Beavercreek Beavers faced-off with the Thomas Worthington Cardinals in the first game of the Kilbourne Invitational at the Chiller North on Saturday, December 5 at 9:00 PM. Creek broke a 2-2 tie with 28 seconds left to win the game off a goal from Mazza assisted by Rich Davis and Kullar. Mazza had the first Creek goal off an assist from Tony Pugnale to tie the game in the 2nd period. Jake Stone put the Beavers on top early in the third period with an unassisted goal from the point. The Cardinals tied the game shortly thereafter setting the stage fro Mazza's game winner. Kyle McClure was in net for the Beavers stopping 13 of 15 shots on goal for a 86.7 save percentage.
